Description: The Tektronic products are the primary. The Tektronix DAQ6510 Data Acquisition and Multimeter System, along with the 7705 40 Channel Control Module, 7702 40 Channel Differential Multiplexer, and KITTI-RS232 Communication and Digital I/O Accessory, are required to enhance our ability to test, analyze, and improve the performance and reliability of NAVAIR’s gyro and accelerometer production. This equipment will be utilized in the following key areas:
Component Characterization and Validation: Before components are integrated into the gyros and accelerometers, they must be thoroughly characterized to ensure they meet performance specifications. The DAQ system will enable precise measurement of voltage, current, resistance, and other parameters, allowing engineers to validate component performance and identify any potential issues before they impact the final product.
System-Level Testing and Calibration: After assembly, the gyros and accelerometers undergo rigorous testing to verify their performance. The DAQ system will be used to collect data on key performance metrics, such as bias stability, noise, and sensitivity. This data will be used to calibrate the devices and ensure they meet NAVAIR’s stringent requirements.
Environmental Testing and Analysis: The gyros and accelerometers must be able to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The DAQ system will be used to monitor and record data during environmental testing, such as temperature cycling, vibration testing, and shock testing. This data will help engineers identify potential weaknesses in the design and ensure the devices are robust enough for their intended applications.
Process Optimization and Improvement: By providing detailed data on component and system performance, the DAQ system will enable engineers to identify areas for process optimization and improvement. For example, the data can be used to optimize soldering processes, improve component placement accuracy, and reduce the effects of environmental factors.
Failure Analysis: In the event of a product failure, the DAQ system can be used to collect data and analyze the root cause of the failure. This data will help engineers identify design flaws, manufacturing defects, or component failures and implement corrective actions.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES: In accordance with the overall GSA objective of supporting other USG agencies, the government has a need to procure Tektronics Products in order to meet ongoing NUWC mission requirements, as outlined in this document.
Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport, 610 Dowell Street, Keyport, 610 Dowell Street, Keyport, WA 98345 requires the Tektronic, DAQ6510 DAQ6510 Data Acquisition and Multimeter System, along with the 7705 40 Channel Control Module, 7702 40 Channel Differential Multiplexer, and KITTI-RS232 Communication and Digital I/O Accessory as it is a necessary to maintain the highest standards of precision and reliability in the testing and calibration of undersea warfare systems. Tektronix equipment is essential for ensuring the accuracy and dependability of critical measurements, contributing directly to the effectiveness and safety of naval operations.
In addition, it is more cost effective to acquire the Tektronic products, DAQ6510 Data Acquisition and Multimeter System, along with the 7705 40 Channel Control Module, 7702 40 Channel Differential Multiplexer, and KITTI-RS232 Communication and Digital I/O Accessory option at an estimated price of $ than to consider alternative solutions that would require significant integration efforts with our existing Tektronix-based test and measurement infrastructure. Introducing non-Tektronix equipment would necessitate costly software development, training, and calibration procedures to ensure compatibility, ultimately exceeding the cost of acquiring the Tektronix solution.
3. AUTHORITY AND SUPPORTING RATIONALE: For this acquisition, the contracting activity is restricting the consideration to only those that can provide the above aforementioned part number IAW FAR 6.302-1(c).
On 6 June 2025 the requiring agency submitted the purchase request to the SCM Office Supply and Management Branch, New York office.
