About this file
This is a brand name product description and delivery specification document for a federal procurement. The requirement is for 32 units each of Sutron Satlink3 GOES Transmitters (model SL3-XMTR-1) with mounting plates and Sutron Geostationary Antennas (model GEO-ANT-GPS-K10) with mounting brackets and coaxial cables. The transmitters must be certified for extreme temperature operation from -40°C to 70°C, transmit data via the GOES satellite system supporting NESDIS GOES 300 and 1200 baud formats, maintain compatibility with NOAA's GOES Data Collection System, and integrate with Campbell Scientific CR1000x series dataloggers via RS232 or USB connections. The transmitters require a mounting plate for installation on an electronics backplane and must support scalable power for different antenna types.
The antennas must operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, feature integrated GOES transmission and GPS capabilities in a single unit, incorporate a physical design preventing snow and ice accumulation, include corrosion-resistant mounting brackets compatible with 1" to 2.5" outside diameter pipe, and come with 10 meters each of N-N type and SMA-SMA type coaxial cable for antenna-to-transmitter connections. Delivery is required within 90 calendar days after the contractor receives the purchase order, with shipment directed to SCAN Western Region, 245 North Jimmy Doolittle Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84123.

Transmitter Specifications:
• Certified and tested to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.
• Transmits data using the GOES satellite system and supports the NESDIS GOES 300 and 1200 bps (baud) formats.
• Data transmissions must be compatible with NOAA’s GOES Data Collection System (DCS).
• Compatible with the Campbell Scientific CR1000x series dataloggers, allows for the datalogger to control the transmitter setup, and communicates with datalogger using RS232 or USB connections.
• Allows for scalable power so that the transmitter can operate with different types of antennas.
• Have a mounting plate that can be installed which allows the unit to be easily mounted on an electronics backplane.
Antenna Specifications:
• Certified and tested to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.
• Transmits data using the GOES satellite system.
• Two in one antenna with GOES transmission capability and GPS antenna integrated.
• Physical design that prevents snow and ice accumulation which in turn prevents data interruptions during the winter season.
• Corrosion resistant mounting bracket with hardware that can withstand extreme weather and be easily mounted on 1” to 2.5” O.D. pipe.
• Includes a 10 meter length of both N-N Type and SMA-SMA Type coaxial cable to connect the antenna to the transmitter.
