SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

For

B-Series Hydraulic Maintenance Platform/Stands

1.0. SCOPE OF EQUIPMENT:

All proposed products must meet or exceed the specifications outlined in this Salient Characteristics document. The products must be designed, manufactured, and tested to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements, including performance, safety, and environmental standards.

All items must be delivered to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at the designated location, with the seller responsible for all costs and risks associated with transportation. The delivery terms are FOB (Free on Board) DESTINATION, which means that the seller is responsible for delivering the products to the AMARG facility, with the buyer taking possession of the products at the destination.

• (12) ea. B-5 Hydraulic Maintenance Platform/Stands:

o Platform Minimum Height: 88 inches (minimum) o Platform Maximum Height: 138 inches (maximum) o Platform Dimensions: 30 inches x 76 inches (width x depth) o Capacity: Minimum 500 pounds (static load capacity) o Overall Stowed Dimensions: 105 inches (length) x 63 inches

(width) x 101 inches (height) Pneumatic Castors:

(Hard castors will not be accepted):

• Each Hydraulic Maintenance Platform/Stands must be equipped with manufacturer-installed pneumatic castors that meet the following specifications:

o B-1, B-4, and B-5 Part number: S-7010-PR-4SL-ZB (NSN 5340-01-581-

2855) or equivalent.

Must include swivel lock and brake features to ensure safe and secure movement.

Safety Features: • Hydraulic Restrictors: To prevent accidental movement or collapse of the platform, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451(a)(1), which requires that "all scaffolding shall be designed and constructed to support its own weight and at least 4 times the maximum intended load."

• Leveling and Stability Jacks (When Applicable): To ensure stable and level positioning of the platform, reducing the risk of tipping or instability, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2), which requires that "scaffolds shall be level and plumb during erection and use."

• Handrails: To provide a secure handhold for users, preventing falls and injuries, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1), which requires that "guardrails shall be installed on all open sides and ends of scaffolds, except for stairways."

• Non-slip Stair Treads & Platform Floor: To reduce the risk of slips, trips, and falls on the platform and stairs, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4), which requires that "all scaffold platforms shall be at least 18 inches wide and shall be securely fastened to the scaffold to prevent shifting or movement."

• Lock Valve on Hydraulic System: To prevent accidental hydraulic movement or collapse of the platform, ensuring user safety, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.602(a), which requires that "all hydraulic systems shall be designed and constructed to prevent accidental release of hydraulic fluid."

• Compliance with Current OSHA Standards: To ensure that the platform meets or exceeds all relevant safety standards and regulations, including but not limited to:

o OSHA 29 CFR 1926, Subpart L, which covers scaffolding and aerial lifts o OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451, which covers scaffolding o OSHA 29 CFR 1926.602, which covers material handling equipment o OSHA 29 CFR 1910.23, which covers ladder safety o OSHA 29 CFR 1910.24, which covers stairways and ladders
