Performance Work Statement

KC-46A and KC-135R

MacDill AFB Static Display Aircraft

22 June 2023

Scope of Work

1. Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to provide the following services and deliverables:

a. Deliver a 1/10.9 scale fiberglass model complete with pedestal mounting hardware of one USAF KC-46A Pegasus manufactured by the Boeing Company as specified below.

b. Provide removal, restoration and refurbishing services for a Government provided KC-135R fiberglass model as specified below.

2. Provide KC-46A model:

a. The model shall be of heavy-duty fiberglass construction built to withstand wind gusts of a minimum of 110 MPH. The completed model shall include all production details of a full-scale production aircraft such as specifically MDS-appropriate blisters, windows, pitot antennae and boom/ruddervator subassembly.

b. The aircraft shall be composed of a Styrofoam body overlaid with a minimum of ½ inch fiberglass.

c. A contractor provided concealed steel mounting plate with pre-drilled mounting holes shall be installed by the contractor on the in belly of the KC-46A model aircraft to fit existing Government vertical three-inch pipe. Aircraft mounting details are provided for reference purposes on the next page.

d. All paint coatings to be color code FS#36173 Camouflage Ocean Grey or “equal”.

All paintings and markings to be UV cured for long life with a minimum of three coats of clear dull coat.

e. KC-46A model will be marked with aircraft serial number 26-000006 and have the

MacDill Bolt Tail Flash on field of blue. Any additional color marking shades and insignia depicting a present or notional MacDill-assigned tails using Air Mobility Command guidelines current at the time of fabrication will be provided by the 6 ARW Historian Office

(6 ARW/HO).

f. Provide three design proofs (renderings) electronically to the Contracting Officer for approval before proceeding with any fabrication work. Proofs shall specify all materials and coatings to be used and will include MILSPEC and/or manufacturer color numbers where applicable.

3. KC-135R restoration and refurbishment:

a. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove the existing KC-135R from current mounting pedestal and plate at the Dale Mabry Gate and transport it the to the contractor’s facility. Coordinate the removal of the KC-135R by providing five business days advance notice to the 6 ARW/HO by email at: stephen.ove@us.af.mil and calling (813) 828-2464.

b. Refurbish the KC-135R model aircraft to present a like-new appearance.

c. KC-135R color and markings shall match existing the color and markings.

4. Government Provided Items/ Responsibilities:

a. 6 ARW/HO will provide color, markings, and insignia details upon request.

b. The 6 ARW/HO will validate contractor proofs and acceptance of completed products.

c. Provide delivery location.

Appendix - Mounting details – for reference purposes only. Contractor shall verify on-site.
