STATEMENT OF-WORK OF DESIGN/BUILD SERVICES

For The Placement and installation Stand Alone Solar Powered Parking Lot Lights

1. JOB-SITE LOCATION. Santa Ana NWR 3325 Green Jay Road Alamo, Texas 78516

2. STATEMENT OF NEED: The Refuge is in need of illuminating its existing parking as seen in attachment. There is only one existing light, and it is not connected to any power source. The desired goal is to obtain (5) to (8) stand-alone Solar Powered lights with concrete bases to meet the lighting need. A timer & motion Sensor to program the lamps to remain lit only as user intends. The timer should allow user to set lamps to only brighten up during intended operational hours, while the motion sensor can trigger the lamps as needed outside of operational hours. The motion sensor can distinguish if there is passerby walking under the lamp, the lamp will be half bright when passerby steps in the sensduction area and then it turns off when passerby leaves.

3. WORK REQUIREMENTS. Design and install a lighting system within the existing foot print of the Santa Ana Visitor Center parking lot to improve upon safety expectations and meet transitional security lighting needs by providing a bright and well lit area for Visitors and Staff to enter and exit during the refuge's operational hours of sunrise to sunset. The lighting scheme should meet the improved lighting requirement while also avoiding damages/impacts to parking lot pavement and other substrates. Request that lighting design be functional without boring or trenching. Solar Powered lights with L.E.D lighting fixtures are requested. Concrete based should be capable of being poured in place to support aluminum light poles with a height of approximate 25 to 30 feet, and withstand area type weather conditions.

4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 90 days completion from time of award.
