About this file
This document is a set of salient characteristics for an Acoustic Imaging Camera to be procured by the Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command for Fairchild AFB in Washington. The key requirements are: the camera must detect leaks between 1-200 meters, have a 4-10" screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, minimum 3x digital zoom, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, operating temperature range of 14-104°F, minimum 20GB internal storage, and detect frequencies from 2-100 kHz. The part number identified as meeting these requirements is the Fluke ii910 Acoustic Imaging Camera. The government will accept this brand name item or an equal solution. The delivery timeline is 90 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). This salient characteristics document is associated with a pending federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number FA462024QA222, for the Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command to procure the Acoustic Imaging Camera.

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
FOR
ACOUSTIC IMAGING CAMERA
March 2024
Salient Characteristics For
Acoustic Imaging Camera Fairchild AFB, WA
1. BACKGROUND: The purpose of the Acoustic Imaging camera is to aid the process of finding compressed air leaks. The aircraft pressurized gas systems are prone to leaks especially with fluctuations in temperatures. This leads to the shrinkage of seals on these systems. The troubleshooting that is done to find the air leaks on pneumatic/gaseous systems, can take up to 2-3 hours because of manually verifying every connection with leak detection fluid or an ultrasonic leak detector, which can detect the sound but not identify the precise location of the leak. The intention behind the camera is to significantly decrease the duration of troubleshooting by simple pointing a camera at the areas that would normally be checked.
2. OBJECTIVES: Reduce troubleshooting time and maintenance effort by detecting leaks with an acoustic imaging camera.
3. REQUIREMENTS: Procure an acoustic imaging camera wit the following salient characteristics:
a) detect leaks between 1 meter to 200 meters away
b) (min-max) 4 - 10” screen with 1280 x 800 resolution
c) minimum 3x digital zoom
d) rechargeable li-ion battery pack
e) operating temperature range between 14ꟳ and 104ꟳ
f) minimum 20GB internal storage or capable of removal storage
g) minimum high frequency range for detection 2 khz to 100 khz (with adjustable noise detection) due to use in loud industrial areas
4. DELIVERY: 90 Days ARO.
5. PARTS NUMBERS: The part number identified below meets the minimum salient characteristics of an acoustic imaging camera to detect leaks. The government will accept either the brand name item below or an equal solution that meets the minimum salient characteristics identified in section 3.
