About this file

This is a contractor certification document required for compliance with federal immigration and employment verification regulations. The certification mandates that contractors comply with the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 and related laws administered by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Contractors are prohibited from knowingly employing, contracting, or subcontracting with illegal aliens or foreign nationals whose visa status is in violation of their admission terms. The contractor must comply with E-Verify requirements consistent with Executive Order 12989 and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations.

The certification applies specifically to work performed for the Department of Veterans Affairs in connection with the Transitional Housing and Health Care for Homeless Veterans program in Shreveport, Louisiana. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the removal of non-compliant foreign nationals from the contractor's place of business and termination of the contract for breach. Contractors are required to obtain similar certifications from all subcontractors. The document requires signature, date, typed name and title, and company name from the contractor, with a warning that false certification may result in prosecution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1001.
