NORFOLK SUPER SERVMART PROHIBITED ITEMS LISTING

Under no circumstances shall the following items be sold under this contract:

1. Subsistence-type items such as coffee, tea, creamer, bottled water, sports drinks, soda, snack items, etc.

2. Paint or solvents

3. Items containing asbestos

4. Decorations (for example, holiday trees, string lights, wall art, trinkets, etc.)

5. Construction supplies, i.e., lumber, steel, etc.

6. Hazardous materials as defined in Federal Standard No. 313 and FAR 23.301. Exceptions: commonly available cleaning products sold commercially to the general public and items not mandated for purchase from the local hazardous material center

7. Radios, music CD players, stereos

8. Luggage (except briefcases, tool, and tactical cases)

9. Furniture (i.e., desks, chairs, partitions, sofas, tables, lamps, all varieties of sit-and-stand desks to include desktop models, etc.). Exceptions: metal filing cabinets, AbilityOne mattresses

10. Pesticides

11. Plaques, ashtrays, or other mementos

12. Ozone depleting substances as defined in 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 82

13. Personal use items such deodorant, hair dryers, medicine, alarm clocks, handheld televisions, etc. Exception: office first aid kits

14. Habitability items such as shipboard furniture, curtains, etc. Note: Aluminum grating panels are allowed for ship’s storerooms and metal chairs are allowed for shore activities only.

15. Subsafe and safety of flight items (items for submarines and planes)

16. Household-type items (i.e., microwaves, mini-refrigerators, toasters, etc.) Exception: AbilityOne linens, irons and ironing boards. Note: Commercial microwaves and toasters are allowed.

17. Copiers and copier supplies. Exception: Copier supplies (toner, paper) for shore activities

18. Handheld communication devices, i.e., walkie-talkies, handheld radios, cellular phones

19. Transportation equipment and parts, i.e., automotive vehicles, construction and specialist category transportation equipment (SCTE), construction vehicles, riding lawn mowers, tractors

20. Forklifts

21. Weapons

22. Mezzanines

23. Repairs parts for boats and vehicles

24. Uniform items that are part of the Navy sea bag. Exception: organizational clothing is allowable.

25. Air conditioning systems

26. Sonar equipment

27. Televisions, video recorders/players (such as DVD players), and any related accessories, such as television mounts and cables

28. Information Technology (IT) equipment, to include computers, printers, external hard drives, and thumb drives, etc. Exception: consumable products such as disks, computer cleaning kits, paper, etc.

29. Items with a unit price of $5,000.00 or greater.
