About this file

This document is a Statement of Need (SON) that describes the requirement to replace two Constant Current Regulators feeding airfield lights at Columbus AFB, MS. The SON specifies that the replacement regulators must be Eaton Crouse-Hinds products, with one unit to power a 3-step system for the inside runway threshold lights, and the other unit to power a 5-step system for the outside runway threshold lights. Both units are required to be 480V, 15kW, 6.6A. The contractor is responsible for providing the regulators and any applicable manufacturer's warranty, while the Government will coordinate base access. The delivery schedule requires the units to be delivered as soon as possible to Columbus AFB.

The related federal contract opportunity is a single-source solicitation for the two Constant Current Regulators, with justification that Global Access Supply is the sole distributor of the required Crouse-Hinds products. The solicitation number is FA302224Q0307.
