About this file
The document details salient characteristics for Fleet Pro tool sets and toolboxes, specifying comprehensive requirements for manufacturing, design, and performance. Tool specifications include nickel-chrome plating for corrosion resistance, cushion grips for safety, vapor blasted screwdriver tips to prevent fastener slippage, and flank-drive features to prevent hardware damage. Toolboxes must have 14-16 gauge steel construction, powder coat chemical-resistant paint, removable core lock assemblies, specific dimensional ranges (53"-55" width, 28"-30" depth, 44"-46" height), and a minimum 6,700 lbs load capacity.
The document also provides extensive technical specifications for toolbox foam, including detailed physical and chemical characteristics. The foam must be made of polyethylene with specific density, thickness, and composition requirements, tested per ASTM D543-2000 standards. Technical characteristics include a working temperature range of -70 to 175 degrees F, tensile strength of 70 PSI, elongation of 150%, and resistance to common solvents, oils, and hydraulic fluids. The foam can be router cut, water jet cut, or die cut while maintaining required physical properties, and must have base and top layers securely adhered with no adhesive residue in tool cut-outs.

Fleet Pro Sets Salient Characteristics
Manufacturer shall provide on-site warranty and repair support.
Wrenches, sockets and ratchets shall have tough, durable, nickel-chrome plaƟng to protect against corrosion and provide for easy cleaning.
Pliers and side cuƩers shall have cushion grips to prevent hand slippage (safety) Screwdriver Ɵps shall have vapor blasted Ɵps to prevent slippage on fasteners (prevents damage to equipment) Handles shall have a comfortable grip (no fluted handles) with a rounded crown (safety) Handles shall be of a highly visible color for quick locaƟon of tool (tool control) Wrenches shall have flank-drive or equivalent. This feature applies pressure to the sides of hex nuts and bolt heads to prevent rounding of corners of the hardware (prevents damage to equipment)
Nut Drivers shall have flank-drive or equivalent. This feature applies pressure to the sides of hex nuts and bolt heads to prevent rounding of corners of the hardware (prevents damage to equipment)
Sockets shall have flank-drive or equivalent. This feature applies pressure to the sides of hex nuts and bolt heads to prevent rounding of corners of the hardware (prevents damage to equipment)
Toolboxes shall have 14-gauge steel super-duty skid support systems Toolboxes shall have 16-gauge steel on top, boƩom, sides and back Toolboxes shall have 4 corner gussets each Toolboxes shall have standing seam construcƟon Toolboxes shall have all powder coat chemical resistant paint Toolbox drawers shall have 18-gauge steel front, body and back Toolbox drawers shall have a minimum of 227 pound all ball bearing support capacity Toolboxes shall have removable core lock assemblies Toolboxes shall measure between 53"-55" width, 28"-30" depth and 44"-46" height Toolboxes shall have at least 6,700lbs of load capacity Tools shall be laser etched to match designated toolbox assignment Tools shall be laser etched that does not penetrate chrome plating that would otherwise cause corrosion
