About this file
Attachment 2 provides detailed technical specifications for a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) procurement for the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI). The document specifies precise installation requirements, including a room space of 20 ft 8-1/8 inches wide, 22 ft deep, with a 13 ft 1-1/2 inch machine opening and 8 ft 6-3/8 inches height, located in Building 42, Room 1127.
The LINAC must include specific technical capabilities: photon energies of 4 MV (mandatory), 10 MV, and 15 MV with a 40 cm x 40 cm field size, high-resolution beam shaping, multi-leaf collimator, and MV high-dose rate mode. Electron specifications require energies of 6, 9, 12, and 15 MeV with multiple aperture plate applicators. Additional required systems include MV portal imaging, kV cone-beam CT imaging, laser alignment, CCTV with pan/tilt/zoom capabilities, and an intercom system. The procurement also involves removing the current Elekta Infinity LINAC and providing onsite training.
