Statement of Work
Splash Pad at Bldg 337 – Moody AFB, GA
Dated: 3 May 2024
1. Scope The project involves the repairing, repainting, refinishing, and recoating of the in-ground and above-ground water features at the Splash Pad near Bldg 337 at Hickam Street, Moody AFB, GA 31699. The damages were incurred during a recent storm, necessitating various repair work. The objective is to repair, repaint, refinish, and recoat the various water features at the Splash Pad.
1.1 Background
23 FSS strives to meet the needs of our customer base. Outdoor Recreation (Outdoor Rec) currently has water features at our Splash Pad that are in need of various repair work.
Outdoor Rec is not able to fully supply the demand for use of the Splash Pad to our customers due to the damage sustained by the various water features. This has a direct, negative impact on the health of the MWRF. Repairing the water features will allow Outdoor Rec to recover these lines of income in support of the MWRF.
2. Requirements
2.1 In-Ground Water Features
o Splash Pad has multiple in-ground water features.
o Contractor shall repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components associated with the in-ground water features.
2.2 Above-Ground Water Features
o Palm Tree
Palm tree needs to be washed, cleaned, inspected, and have fronds replaced.
o Animals (frog, alligator, fish, and crab), sprayers, and water hoop Contract shall restore to their original condition with work that will include, but is not limited to, repairing, repainting, refinishing, and recoating as necessary.
2.3 Testing
o Upon completion of repairs, the contractor shall conduct testing of the in-ground and above-ground water features to ensure proper operation and performance.
o Testing shall include checking water flow, pressure, temperature, and movement of the water features to ensure they work and meet design specifications.
2.4 Cleanup and Restoration
o The contractor shall clean up the work area and remove any debris, equipment, or materials used during the repair process and clean up any over-spray.
o Restoration of the splash pad area to its original condition shall be performed, including landscaping, repainting, or other cosmetic repairs as needed.
2.5 Equipment Requirements
All Equipment Required to Complete this Project in Its Entirety Shall Be Supplied by the Contractor.
