Statement of Characteristics

47 FTW, Component Maintenance Division is requesting a high temperature 3D printer that will be able to produce a full-scale, robust, high-performance parts:

Specifications

Must have Material Extrusion (MEX)/Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technology

Build volume must be between 440 and 460 X 440 and 460 X 560 and 570mm (x, y z)

The travel speed range must be between 475 and 525mm/s Filament size range must be between 1.70 and 1.80mm/s Must have a standard nozzle of 0.6mm o With the ability to use 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 mm nozzles Must have dual independent extruders Must include composite ready extruders Maximum extruder temperature of 500°C+ Chamber temperature range of 125°C to 145°C Bed temperature 200°C+ Must have a Z layer height between ≥ 0.03 mm to 1.5+ mm The positional accuracy of o X/Y between 24 and 26 microns o Z 1 micron

Must be compatible with the following material o ABS, ASA, Nylon (PA 6, 6/66, 12), PAEK, PC, PEEK, PEI (ULTEM 9085, 1010), PEKK, PETG, POM, PP, PPSU, PSU, PVDF, TPE, TPU, Carbon fiber, glass fiber, Kevlar, and ESD safe variants of the above.

Supply voltage for the printer o 208/230 VAC, 50/60Hz, 20A, Single Phase

Supply voltage for the vacuum bed o 120 VAC, 50/60Hz, 5A, Single Phase

Additional requirements;

Must contain a material handling package with the following items;

o Reusable carbon fiber PEEK plate o PEI build sheets o Polycarbonate build sheets o Filament dry storage and feeding boxes o Calibration and training filaments

Operators toolkit A minimum of one year preventive maintenance kit Respective system license Training (virtual/conventional) for three students o System introduction o Software introduction

The system will be delivered and installed to Laughlin AFB Texas building 68 followed by onsite training once operational.
