STATEMENT OF WORK

Delivery/Removal/Installation JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Navy Furniture Revised, 17 July 2020

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Procure for buildings 1475 and 1479: Lift Beds (807), Bunkable Beds (807), Wardrobes (880) and Bed Stacking Kits (807), for Joint base San Antonio US Navy dormitories. The contractor shall ensure the furniture are properly delivered based on industry standards. Contractor shall deliver to the addressed location shown below, which is located within secured military installation.

The Contractor shall Deliver/Install/Remove, in accordance with breakout below:

1. SCOPE

1.1. Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor and transportation necessary to perform this requirement in accordance with the statement of work. Contractor shall confirm delivery 15 days prior to delivery. Contractor shall unload and install all new furniture and remove all old furniture and transport them to the warehouse- 2100 Supply Street BLDG. 4193 JBSA Fort Sam Houston TX, 78234 as specified. The Vendor should be able to make adjustments without impact to the user with government critical mission training. If the building is not able for occupancy and the installer, the Vendor shall deliver the items to the warehouse at bldg. 4193.

1.2. The Technical representative (TR) for this project is Ms. Charlene Holbrook at (210)-221-2381, email charlene.d.holbrook.civ@mail.mil & Mr. Ronny Vardaman at (210)-221-5309, email ronny.vardaman.civ@mail.mil. Vendor shall provide the Technical Representatives (TR) a 15 day notification as to the date and time the trucks will be arriving followed-up email notification and a 24 hour prior to truck scheduled arrival time.

Dimensions: 1 inch increase on dimensions variance acceptable but not for a decrease Length 86.25" Width 38.5" Height 37" Fabrication & Material Cut, formed, welded steel, Powder coated steel.

Bed deck: 12 gauge.

End frame legs: 16 gauge.

End frame cross-members: 16 gauge.

Connector Brackets: 3/8" thick.

Color Steel Color: Khaki Warranty 10 year limited replacement warranty.

Bottom: 18 gauge.

End frame legs: 16 gauge.

End frame cross-members: 16 gauge.

Dimensions: 1 inch increase on dimensions variance acceptable but not for a decrease Width: 36.5″, Depth: 25.25″, Height: 72.25″, Weight: 180lbs.

With top Shelf, and closet rod.

Natural Oak Finish.

NOTE: In buildings 1475 and 1479 there are 2 sets of elevators in each building for a total 4 and 4 stairwells for a total of 8, 1 stairwell near the elevators and 1 stairwell by the entrance of each building.

2. HOURS OF OPERATION:

Normal Hours. Normal Hours. Performance of work shall be during normal duty hours between 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday unless otherwise requested in writing and approved by the Contracting Officer.

Recognized Holidays. The contractor is not required to provide scheduled service on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day, January 1st

Martin Luther King’s Birthday, 3rd Monday in January

President's Day, 3rd Monday in February

Memorial Day, Last Monday in May

Independence Day, July 4th

Labor Day, 1st Monday in September

Columbus Day, 2nd Monday in October

Veterans Day, November 11th

Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday in November

Christmas Day, December 25th

Note: Any of the above holidays falling on a Saturday will be observed by the government on the preceding Friday. Holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed by the government on the following Monday .HOURS OF OPERATION: The delivery and installation shall be performed during normal duty hours (7:30 A M. to 4:00 P. M., Monday thru Friday).

3. WORKMANSHIP: The Contractor shall perform all operations in a manner that will result in a professional and expeditiously completed project. The work shall be in strict accordance with the prevailing industry standards.

4. ACCESSORIES AND INCIDENTALS: Contractor shall provide all incidentals necessary. Cost for these items shall be included as part and parcel of the finished installation.

5. SUBMITTALS: Provide product data on specified products.

6. QUALITY ASSURANCE: The government shall inspect all work performed by the contractor. Work performance shall be deemed satisfactory and acceptable to the government when the 502nd CES/CEIH declares the project satisfactory.

7. PROTECTION: The contractor shall take precautions to prevent damage to government property. The contractor shall repair or replace damaged items at no additional cost to the government.

8. COMPLETION OF WORK: The contractor shall ensure that work for this project is performed in accordance with the criteria herein, and that all relevant materials, finishes, equipment, and systems shall be fully operational at the completion of work for this project.

9. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

10. All contractor vehicles must enter and depart through JBSA -Fort Sam Houston via the Jadwin Gate Access Control Point which can be accessed via Interstate 35.
