About this file
This is a Statement of Work for vault toilet and septic tank pumping services at Yosemite National Park. The contractor must pump vault toilets and septic tanks along Tioga Road from Crane Flat to Lee Vining, covering 21 locations with a total of 55 vault toilets and septic tanks. The service period spans approximately 18 weeks annually from June through October, with seasonal snowfall potentially affecting yearly schedules due to road accessibility. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and services, including removal of trash items from vaults (diapers, phones, sunglasses, etc.) that cannot be disposed of at the NPS wastewater treatment facility. Suction hoses must not exceed 2.5 inches in diameter to prevent clogging sewer lines, with hose lengths ranging from 20 feet to a maximum of 100 feet depending on location. The contractor must notify the Contracting Officer's Representative of any needed repairs, hazardous conditions, or work delays.
The contract is structured as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement with a base year from 2026 to 2027 and four optional one-year periods through 2031, exercised at the government's sole discretion. The contractor may dispose of collected sewage at the Yosemite Creek Lift Station (YCLS) located at 9006 Yosemite Lodge Drive, Yosemite Valley, California, at no cost, during weekday hours (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday only) between 0700 and 1530. Required deliverables include pumping logs that correlate with metered gallons disposed of at YCLS, which must be submitted with invoice payments through IPP.gov.
