SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

JBC/NWS Utility Poles

I. GENERAL OVERVIEW.

628 CES Electrical Systems shop requires the purchase of the following Utility Poles to replaced existing Utility Poles that has surpassed their life expectancy or are in decayed state.

II. SPECIFICATIONS.

At a minimum the Utility Poles shall possess the following specifications to include the treatment:

- 45 Ft Class 3 SYP 0.15 DCOI REA framed M-20 WQC inspection

- 45 Ft Class 2 SYP 0.15 DCOI REA framed M-20 WQC inspection

- 50 Ft Class 2 SYP 0.15 DCOI REA framed M-20 WQC inspection

III. APPLICATION.

These Utility Poles used to replace existing poles that have surpassed their life expectancy and are in decayed state. These poles carry the Electrical Distribution Overhead conductors for two different circuits. The Utility Poles will be installed by the High Voltage Electrical Section at Joint Base Charleston.
