MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Salient Characteristics for Chassis to transport 20 foot containers

CLIN1: Chassis to transport 20 foot containers

• Chassis designed for the stevedoring and transportation of one ISO 20 foot container weighing up to 45,000 lb.

• Chassis should be design and built according to Association of American Railroads (AAR), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Transportation (DOT), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) standards.

• Tandem Axle

• ABS Anti-Locking braking system

• Electrical system should be 12 Volt with plug type connectors, 7-way plug, sealed wire harnesses and lights

• AAR-approved two speed with square leg. 50,000-lb. lift capacity and 150,000-lb.

static load capacity.

• Tires should be radial tires.

• Must have Mud Flaps
