Intent to Award ArmeniaTV Contract 95T813-21-C-0028

The U. S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM, former BBG/IBB) has built a strong relationship with ArmeniaTV over the past 19 years. Armenia TV has been broadcasting VOA programs since July of 2002.

Advertising on this station makes it possible for the USAGM to continue to promote the VOA Armenian programs on the station which they run. Advertising on other outlets would jeopardize the affiliation and risk losing an important audience in Armenia.

The Agency’s broadcasting priorities to this area would not be fulfilled if news broadcasting did not continue seamlessly to Armenia. Therefore, USAGM Prague intends to award this contract, valued below the Simplified Acquisitions Threshold to ArmeniaTV.
