About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice from the Military Sealift Command (MSC) seeking potential vendors for propulsion control upgrade cable material for four T-AKE vessels. The RFI seeks to identify vendors capable of supplying three specific cable types: an Ethernet cable (1,000 meters), a fiber optic cable (6,000 meters), and Ethernet terminal block & clip components (40 units). The anticipated contract is a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order with a delivery date of 21 November 2025, and uses NAICS code 335929 for Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing.

Interested businesses are requested to submit a Statement of Capabilities by 5 PM EST on Friday, August 29, 2025, to two Navy email addresses. The statement should include business details such as full name, CAGE code, DUNS number, contact information, business size, SAM registration status, ownership type, and vendor authorization. Vendors must also respond to market survey questions about their ability to meet requirements, understand part numbers, meet delivery dates, support commercial terms, and provide additional feedback. The Navy emphasizes this is a market research tool and not a formal solicitation, with no guarantee of future contract award.
