About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) is issued by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for the A-Basin Tank Installation project located at 28214 Highway 6 in Dillon, Colorado. The project requires a contractor to purchase and install one 2500-gallon sand-oil separator tank and one 5000-gallon holding tank at the CDOT A-Basin facility. Additional requirements include filling the existing 2,500-gallon tank containment with concrete and utilizing existing floor drain piping to connect the new tanks below the exterior asphalt surface. The contractor must complete all work within 150 calendar days from the notice to proceed, with work scheduled to initiate in June/July 2025, subject to weather conditions.
The project scope includes adhering to engineering design drawings by Level Engineering, locating underground utilities, obtaining necessary permits, and complying with CDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2023 version). The contractor must provide personal protective equipment, conduct compaction testing, and follow stormwater control measures. No construction Storm Water Permit is required as the disturbance area is less than one acre. Project submittals must be reviewed by the CDOT project manager and Level Engineering prior to material purchases, and an as-built drawing of the newly installed holding tanks must be provided upon project completion. The primary point of contact is Tim Hagert, CDOT Project Manager, who can be reached at 720-582-0694 or tim.hagert@state.co.us.
