About this file
This is an approved construction drawing and specification document for a bathroom renovation project at the East Main Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA) facility located at 83 East Main Street, Clifton Springs, New York 14432, prepared for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Finger Lakes Developmental Services Organization (DDSO). The project scope includes complete bathroom renovation with demolition of existing finishes down to wood framing, installation of new porcelain tile flooring (12" x 12" Daltile "Volume 1.0"), solid surface wall panels (Wilsonart or approved equal), new plumbing fixtures including a Kohler Cimarron water closet and Swanstone vanity with integral sink, electrical work including GFCI receptacles and new lighting, HVAC installation of a new Broan exhaust fan, and interior painting with Sherwin Williams products. The project includes detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and specifications across multiple drawing sheets (A1-A3) with construction details for wall assemblies, grab bar installations, threshold transitions, and exhaust ductwork. A mandatory site visit is required on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., and vendors who do not attend or arrive late will be disqualified from bidding; bids will not be accepted before the site visit completion.
This is a New York State public works project requiring prevailing wage compliance. Bidders must provide valid New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) registration numbers and current Certificates of Registration at the time of bid submission, with the NYSDOL noting that registration applications may require approximately three to four weeks for review and issuance. Interested contractors should request an invitation for bid by referencing the project location and title on company letterhead and submitting current contact information via fax to 585-461-8811, Attention: Franchesca Sagen, or by email to FL.Purchasing@opwdd.ny.gov. The specifications require compliance with the New York State Building Code and Residential Building Code for all construction, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work, with contractor responsibility for field measurement verification, daily debris removal, and coordination with the OPWDD Project Manager throughout the project duration.
