About this file

This document is the State of Maryland's FY 2025 Vehicle Standards specification document outlining standard equipment requirements for multiple vehicle types, with particular focus on Type 6 (1/2-Ton Pickup Truck) and Type 9 (Compact Utility) vehicles. The specifications detail mandatory equipment and features that must be included in all vehicle deliveries, including but not limited to: four-wheel drive with electronic shift, OEM Bluetooth, power windows and door locks, rear view cameras, reverse sensors, cruise control, and Maryland Clean Cars Act compliance. Vehicles must be delivered completely assembled and serviced, with a quarter tank of fuel or quarter battery range.

The document specifies that all pricing must include transaction fees, processing fees, and temporary tag fees, with sales tax exempted for the State. Vendors must provide pricing for all optional vehicle packages and equipment, using "INCL" for standard features and "N/A" for unavailable options. Awarded vendors must supply vehicle catalogs with option codes and pricing to the State Contract Monitor, though this information will not be publicly disclosed. Any optional equipment must be fully installed and operational before delivery, with failure to do so potentially resulting in vehicle rejection. The document emphasizes that post-bid pricing adjustments will not be considered, and vendors must ensure all costs are included in their initial bid pricing.
