About this file

The document is a detailed technical specification for an EMS Mini Rescue Vehicle, prepared for the City of Pittsburgh's Equipment Leasing Authority (ELA). The specification provides comprehensive requirements for a Ford F-550 XL 4x4 Crew Cab emergency vehicle, outlining precise technical specifications for the chassis, apparatus body, electrical systems, lighting, compartment configurations, and additional accessories. The document covers everything from the vehicle's structural construction using aluminum extrusions to specific requirements for compartment layouts, electrical systems, warning lights, scene lighting, and interior configurations. The specification includes detailed descriptions of features like the Whelen Cloud Platform, audible warning systems, battery charger/inverter, and various optional enhancements.

The specification indicates that the vehicle meets NFPA 1900 classifications and offers a range of customization options at additional cost, such as custom paint, SCBA seating, specialized lighting, and various grab rail configurations. The base vehicle includes a fifteen-year structural warranty and is designed for heavy-duty fire and rescue services. While no specific pricing is provided in the document, the specification suggests a comprehensive, highly customizable emergency vehicle with advanced technological features like GPS tracking, fleet management capabilities, and sophisticated electrical and warning systems. The document appears to be part of a competitive procurement process that allows for detailed specification and potential customization to meet the specific needs of the Pittsburgh emergency services.
