About this file

This document is a sole source justification for the acquisition of Philips IntelliVue X3 patient transport monitors. The Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Healthcare System requires new Philips IntelliVue X3 patient transport monitors to replace outdated IntelliVue X2 monitors that are no longer manufactured. Philips is identified as the only responsible source since their IntelliVue system utilizes proprietary hardware and software that would not be compatible with the VA's existing Philips patient monitoring infrastructure without significant upgrades. The anticipated cost is expected to be fair and reasonable based on market research identifying two authorized Philips distributors as capable of supplying the required monitors: Four Points Technology and Alliant Enterprises. The solicitation number is 36C25922Q0721 for acquisition of the 554 IntelliVue X3 Patient Transport Monitors with an estimated delivery of 10 days after receipt of order.
