About this file

This document is an Antiterrorism Awareness pamphlet for contractors working at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) in New Jersey. The pamphlet provides guidance on recognizing and reporting potential terrorist threats, defining terrorism as "the unlawful use of violence to instill fear and coerce governments or societies," which is often motivated by religious, political, or ideological beliefs.

The document outlines specific awareness protocols, including what to look for (such as surveillance, unfamiliar vehicles, expired tags, and suspicious parking patterns) and how to report suspicious activity. It introduces the Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) system with four levels (Normal, Alpha, Charlie, Delta), each representing escalating threat levels and corresponding security measures. Contractors are instructed to call the 87th Security Forces Squadron at (609) 754-6001 to report any suspicious activities, and the pamphlet emphasizes that contractors are considered "Force Multipliers" who provide additional vigilance to help maintain security at the base.
