About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document issued by Greenville County, South Carolina, regarding the possible replacement of the main entrance sign at Greenville County Animal Care. The RFI is intended solely for planning and budgetary purposes to assist the County in evaluating project feasibility, developing a project budget, and preparing any future solicitation. The document does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals, does not commit the County to purchase, and will not result in the award of a contract. The RFI seeks budgetary information and industry recommendations to inform decision-making regarding the entrance sign replacement project.
The RFI represents an information-gathering phase rather than a formal procurement process. Greenville County is seeking input from industry professionals to understand costs, options, and best practices associated with entrance sign replacement before determining whether to proceed with a formal solicitation. No pricing submissions, contract awards, or binding commitments will result from this RFI. The County will use the responses received to establish realistic budgetary parameters and project specifications for potential future procurement actions.

Title: Animal Care Entrance Sign
1. Scope of Work
GENERAL INFORMATION
Greenville County is considering replacing the existing main entrance sign at Greenville County Animal
Care with a new monument-style entrance sign incorporating a full-color LED digital message center.
As the County evaluates this project, it is requesting information from qualified vendors to support the development of a potential future Request for Proposals (RFP) and to assist with budget planning and cost estimation.
A conceptual rendering (Attachment A) depicting the County's desired appearance will accompany this
RFI. The rendering is intended to communicate the County's general design vision and should not be interpreted as a required or final design. Vendors are encouraged to recommend alternative designs, materials, dimensions, or features that enhance the functionality, durability, appearance, or long-term value of the proposed sign while remaining consistent with the County's general design intent.
GENERAL DESIGN PARAMETERS
The proposed sign should generally incorporate the following elements:
• Greenville County Animal Care branding and logo
• Monument-style sign structure and base
• Full-color outdoor LED digital message center with cloud-based programming
• Complete design, fabrication, and installation
The County anticipates a sign generally consistent with the following approximate dimensions:
Component Approximate Size
Overall sign 10–12 feet wide × 8.5–10 feet high
Digital message center 72" × 36" full-color outdoor LED with cloud-based programming
Columns 24–30 inches square × approximately 9.5 feet high
Main logo panel Approximately 7 feet wide × 5.5 feet high
Service identification band Approximately 10–12 inches high
Concrete base Approximately 12–18 inches high
The County is not limited to any particular construction materials. Vendors are encouraged to recommend materials they believe are most appropriate for durability, appearance, maintenance, and overall value.
