This is a winner announcement document for the 2024 FAA Aviation Safety Transformation Challenge, which is tied to the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024's goals of maximizing safety data availability and identifying trends in aviation safety. The challenge focused on exploring advanced analytics and AI capabilities to improve aviation safety and understand causal factors for safety events in the National Airspace System.

Three companies were selected as winners: ATAC (POC: John Schade), Booz Allen Hamilton (POC: Jason Arpino), and Palantir (POC: Claudia Davidson). The winners may have the opportunity to present their recommendations in person to FAA officials and aviation subject matter experts in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This announcement appears to be connected to a broader pre-solicitation effort by the FAA to develop enhanced safety analytics capabilities using AI and machine learning technologies.
