About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) seeking potential contractors capable of repairing various AN/ALQ-172 electronic warfare system components. The RFI lists 20 specific NSNs requiring repair services, including backplane assemblies, circuit card assemblies, core memory units, and test equipment components, with annual repair quantities ranging from 1-25 units per item. The Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting this market research to identify sources that possess the necessary repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience.

Key requirements include that contractors must furnish all materials, support equipment, tools, and test equipment, with replacement parts meeting or exceeding original quality standards. The government does not own the full repair technical data and has no funding available for reverse engineering. Responses must be submitted electronically to the contracting officer in PDF format (max 5MB) and include detailed information about company capabilities, past performance, quality assurance processes, security clearance capabilities, and a rough order of magnitude cost estimate. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, and teaming arrangements are permitted. The RFI notes that participation does not guarantee future contract awards and no reimbursement will be provided for response costs.
