About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of 395 solar bollard lights for the American Memorial Park in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. The National Park Service seeks commercially available solar light fixtures similar to the Reliance Foundry Solstice Bollard R-9815-FL, with specific technical requirements including a 4 1/4" base diameter, 36 1/2" height, powder-coated black steel construction, and a self-enclosed solar light fixture. The bollards must have characteristics such as approximately 30 lumens output, 3000K LED lighting with motion sensors, a 30,000-hour LED lifespan, and operate from dusk till dawn using mono-crystalline solar cells and a 6-volt valve-regulated lead-acid battery. The primary objective is to enhance nighttime safety and visibility along the park's walkways, defining park boundaries and protecting pedestrians from motor vehicles.
Delivery will be to the American Memorial Park Maintenance Shop in Saipan, with the contractor required to coordinate delivery arrangements with John Aguon, Facility Operations Specialist/Maintenance Supervisor, by contacting 670-483-7244. The park, which honors American and Marianas people who died during the World War II Marianas Campaign, covers 133 acres and currently has several hundred feet of unsafe nighttime walkways. No government-furnished property or special security access is required for this procurement, and the place of performance is located at Beach Road, Garapan, Saipan, MP 96950.
