About this file
This is Amendment 0002 to solicitation 19TU1525Q3003 for gardening services at the U.S. Embassy compound in Ankara, Turkey, issued by the Department of State. The amendment incorporates certification requirements regarding compliance with Executive Order 14173 on anti-discrimination laws and makes several updates to the Performance Work Statement including: revised work schedules (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday), requirement for a trained horticulturist, detailed requirements for weeding and pest control with MSDS approvals, garbage collection protocols, and gutter cleaning frequencies.
The amendment adds specific requirements for snow removal preparation (including 40-50% potassium acetate deicing solution), roof access safety protocols, and guidelines for the embassy garden including prohibition of GMOs and accommodation of special flower requests from the Ambassador's family. The contract covers an estimated 28,545 square meters including 3 courtyards. While the amendment makes these various technical changes, it does not extend the original response deadline from the January 29, 2025 solicitation. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment and provide signed certifications regarding anti-discrimination compliance.
