About this file
This is an Amendment 2 - Questions and Answers document issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for Request for Proposal No. 260000001301 regarding the Analysis of Wildlife Vehicle Collision Hot Spots for Planning Future Wildlife Crossings. The RFP solicits analysis services to identify wildlife vehicle collision hot spots on Michigan trunklines to inform the planning and design of future wildlife crossings. The deadline for submitting questions was 3:00 p.m. on March 15th, with additional amendments to be published if further questions are received by that deadline.
The amendment clarifies key eligibility and budgeting matters for potential respondents. Universities are eligible to apply as lead organizations without requiring a consultant partner, and may enter "N/A" for questions on the Vendor Questions Worksheet that do not apply to their organizational structure, such as gross annual sales figures. MDOT does not disclose internal budgets or confirm specific funding amounts during the active competitive solicitation; however, the resulting contract award must remain within the funding limitations of the grant-supported Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program, which allocated $467,376 to MDOT. Proposers are instructed to submit pricing that is reasonable and appropriate for completing the scope of work as detailed in Schedule A - Statement of Work.

on March 15th – another Amendment will be published.
Bidder’s Question State’s Answer
Are universities eligible to apply as lead or do we need to team with a consultant? Some of the questions on the Vendors Question Worksheet do not apply to universities (gross annual sales for last 5 years).
Yes, universities are eligible to respond to the RFP; teaming with a consultant is not necessary. If questions on the Vendor Questions Worksheet do not apply to universities, enter N/A as a response.
The RFP does not reference a budget amount.
Is the full $467,376 awarded to MDOT through the Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program available for this project?
MDOT does not disclose internal budgets or confirm specific funding amounts during an active competitive solicitation. The resulting contract award must fall within the funding limitations associated with this grant-supported project. Proposers should submit pricing they believe is reasonable and appropriate to complete the scope of work as described in Schedule A – Statement of Work.
