About this file
This Amendment #1 document is a Response to Vendors' Questions issued by the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department for the purchase of a mobile classroom. The solicitation, issued on December 13, 2024, seeks online bids for the acquisition of a mobile classroom unit, with offers due by December 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The agency specified preference for the MSV 4000-102-37 model and declined alternative vehicle proposals. No pre-bid conference or site visit is scheduled. The award will be posted on January 9, 2025. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this amendment and hold their offers open for a minimum of sixty calendar days following the opening date.
The document addresses eight vendor inquiries regarding delivery timelines, builder location requirements, vehicle specifications, and equipment features. The agency indicated willingness to accommodate delivery times of 10-24 months if necessary, though a shorter delivery period is preferred. The agency declined offers to compensate for builders located beyond 600 miles and rejected alternative vehicle models and RV-style options. Regarding specifications, the agency confirmed requirements for a walk-through from cab to rear, specified fuel type per original solicitation documents, and requested additional information on equivalent Wi-Fi alternatives for inclusion with formal bids. All bids must be submitted online through the South Carolina procurement portal, with questions requiring submission by December 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.

PREFERENCE, YOU ARE CERTIFYING THAT YOUR OFFER QUALIFIES FOR THE PREFERENCE
YOU'VE CLAIMED. IMPROPERLY REQUESTING A PREFERENCE CAN HAVE SERIOUS
