About this file

This is an amendment to a federal solicitation issued by the Department of the Air Force, 2d Contracting Squadron (AFGSC) at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.

Amendment 1 to solicitation FA460826QC060 extends the quote submission deadline from June 12, 2026, to June 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT. The amendment provides clarification through fourteen questions and answers regarding container specifications for what appears to be a toolbox storage solution. Key requirements include: six containers with a maximum height of 8 feet (not 20 ft or 40 ft shipping containers); compartments on front and back capable of holding large toolboxes with doors on both sides; 8 adjustable flat shelves per container that extend side-to-side within each compartment; 8 trays per container; airtight construction with no vents; secure dividers to prevent rolling during flight; and compatibility with padlocks. Containers must match salient characteristics and accommodate padlock security rather than integrated locking mechanisms. Vendors may propose configurations meeting the Government's specified needs rather than a single mandated design. Further questions are due by June 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT, with answers provided by June 15, 2026. The contracting officer is Ronnie L. Bushue, GS-13, DAF, and inquiries may be directed to Amn Moises Diaz, Contract Specialist, at (318) 456-5205 or moises.diaz.1@us.af.mil.
