About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Multnomah County Drainage District No. 1 in Oregon for Pump Maintenance and Repair Services. The Addendum modifies the original solicitation by removing references to building repair and maintenance, and clarifies that the District's intent is to solicit proposals for services related to pumping systems, including electrical and motor controls. The RFP seeks qualified vendors able to provide these services on an on-call or as-needed basis for a period of up to five years.
The Addendum acknowledges that proposals that include subcontractors or consultant teams are equally acceptable as those from a single firm. The closing date and time for the RFP remain unchanged, and bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of the Addendum on the bid form.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 August 25, 2023
RFP # S-C26014-00006693
Pump Maintenance and Repair Services
This addendum modifies the solicitation document(s) only to the extent indicated herein. All other areas not specifically mentioned or affected by this addendum shall remain in full force. This addendum shall be added as a part of the original solicitation document and shall become part of the work required.
Description of Change(s) and Clarifications:
1. Question #1: Are you asking for bidders to be able to handle all pump, motors/controls and building maintenance aspects of the contract? Does (proposer) need to have subcontractors for those areas outside of our expertise to be considered? Or can we take exceptions to those areas (motor controls & pump station building maintenance)?
a. District Response: The District’s intent is to solicit proposals for services related to pumping systems, including electrical and motor controls – not building maintenance.
i. Section 2 Scope of work refers to pump station building repair and maintenance, concrete and wood structures with flat membrane roofs.
ii. Section 3.4 Proposal Responses to Evaluation Criteria refers to Building repair and maintenance.
iii. References to Building Repair and Maintenance, including structures and roofs are removed.
iv. With regard to the pump and motor controls services, as stated in Section 1. Introduction, Proposals that include subcontractors or consultant teams are equally acceptable as those from a single firm.
CLOSING DATE AND TIME:
Closing date and time remains unchanged.
RECEIPT OF THIS ADDENDUM BY THE BIDDER IS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED BY ENTERING THE
ADDENDUM NUMBER IN THE APPROPRIATE AREA ON THE BID FORM.
