About this file
This is Amendment 1 to DQ AADA 2019-0387, issued by the State of Colorado, modifying the original solicitation for art restoration services. The amendment addresses the location and logistics of a mandatory walkthrough meeting scheduled for December 18, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. MST/MDT. Offerors are required to meet State employees at the main entrance of 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, CO 80203, with Larry Ryan (303) 866-3752 serving as the State contact. The State intends to award a single contract to one primary company responsible for all deliverables and project completion.
The amendment clarifies subcontracting provisions, allowing the primary contractor to subcontract portions of the work to specialized firms. For example, a painting restoration company may subcontract frame restoration work to another vendor while remaining the sole responsible party to the State. The State will receive only one proposal from the prime contractor, which must include information about any proposed subcontractors. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.

DQ1 AADA 2019 – 0387
Amendment 1 – Meeting Location and Response to Offeror Inquiry
Amendment 1 to DQ AADA 2019 - 0387
This Amendment modified the DQ as follows:
1. Offerors will meet the State employees for the walkthrough at the main entrance of 1313 Sherman Street. Accordingly, Section 1.2 (b) is modified to read as follows:
Meeting Location: 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, CO 80203 Meet just inside the main entrance.
| Date: | December 18, 2018 | |
| Time: | 3:00 P.M. MST/MDT | |
| State Contact: | Larry Ryan (303) 866-3752 |
2. We received the following question:
QUESTION: Do you want one vendor to do all of this work? Some vendors specialize in restoring paintings while others specialize in frames. Are you going to contract with just one company?
ANSWER: The State intends to contract with only one company but Offerors may subcontract part of the work. For example: Company One may submit a Proposal and explain that while Company One will repair the paintings, they will subcontract with Company Two for frame restoration.
In this case the State would receive only one proposal (from Company One) which would include information about Company Two. The State would award one Contract to Company One who would be responsible for all deliverables.
All other aspects of the Solicitation remain unchanged.
