About this file

This Amendment #1 document modifies an Invitation for Bids solicitation issued by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism for grounds maintenance services at the North Augusta Welcome Center. The solicitation, numbered 5400020250, was issued on September 25, 2020, with an offer submission deadline of October 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. through the online procurement portal at http://www.procurement.sc.gov. A pre-bid conference was previously held prior to the amendment issuance. The award was scheduled to be posted on October 9, 2020. Bidders were required to submit one copy of their sealed offer and sign the solicitation cover page, agreeing to hold their offer open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date. The procurement officer is Scott Dobereiner, reachable at (803) 734-1302 or sdobereiner@scprt.com.

The amendment addresses key clarifications regarding scope of work through a question-and-answer format. The contractor is responsible for maintaining clear zones from the side of the interstate for the North Augusta Welcome Center on a weekly basis for all fifty-two weeks of the contract year, with this substantial area included in the monthly bid amount. Additionally, the contractor must remove and dispose of tires and debris found in the clear zone while mowing. The solicitation requires bidders to be registered South Carolina vendors and specifies that any award will be issued to a single, distinct legal entity. No specific pricing information, set-asides, or contract term duration details are provided in this amendment document.
