About this file

Summary

This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of South Carolina, Procurement Services Division, on behalf of Aiken Technical College for painting maintenance and repair services. The solicitation requests offerors to provide painting services measured in linear feet, with exact measurements to be determined before each project. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for May 22, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. EST via Microsoft Teams, with registration required by May 18, 2023. Site visits may be scheduled by appointment with Dora Robson or Kevin McCarthy at Aiken Technical College through June 14, 2023. Offerors must submit proposals online at http://www.procurement.sc.gov by June 15, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. EST. Questions from offerors must be received by May 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. EST. Award notification is scheduled for June 28, 2023. The amendment modifies the original solicitation to allow award to up to three contractors, with projects assigned based on availability and capability to meet Aiken Technical College's needs.

This amendment requires offerors to submit bid bonds with their proposals and clarifies that measurement specifications are based on linear feet rather than linear square feet. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by identifying it on Page Two of their submission. Offers remain valid for a minimum of ninety calendar days following the opening date. South Carolina preferences for in-state vendors, contractors, and subcontractors apply and must be properly claimed by line item. All standard procurement terms, conditions, bidding instructions, and specifications from the original IFB remain unchanged.

This law appears in Section 11-35-1524 of the South Carolina Code of Laws. A summary of the new preferences is available at www.procurement.sc.gov/preferences . IF YOU REQUEST A PREFERENCE, YOU ARE CERTIFYING THAT YOUR OFFER QUALIFIES FOR THE PREFERENCE YOU'VE CLAIMED. IMPROPERLY REQUESTING A PREFERENCE CAN HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES.
