About this file

Amendment #1 for the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Computer Repair for Dell & Apple Computers solicitation (Event Number 2025-UWMSN-00895-RFB) modifies the original request for computer repair services. The amendment addresses bidder questions and makes key adjustments to the original solicitation, including adding a new requirement for vendors to provide documentation on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as First-Time Fix, Repair Turn Around Time, and Cross Channel Looper Repair. The amendment also removes a previously specified Apple Service Excellence Score requirement and clarifies bidding instructions for different computer configurations, specifically requesting pricing for logic boards with 16 GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

The amendment indicates that the bidding process remains open, with electronic submissions required through the SciQuest platform by April 30, 2025. Potential vendors must communicate directly with Caleb Hall at caleb.hall@wisc.edu for any questions. The solicitation appears to be a comprehensive repair service contract for Dell and Apple computer systems, targeting enterprise-level technology infrastructure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the amendment suggests the university is seeking detailed, technically proficient proposals that demonstrate vendors' capability to handle complex computer repair requirements across multiple system configurations.

Amendment #1

2025-UWMSN-00895-RFB

Computer Repair for Dell & Apple Computers

Amendment #1 serves to answer questions received by bidders by 4/15/2025 and amend the RFP in the following:

1.) Adding 3.1.26. to the Questions Section of Sourcing Please provide documentation that shows the following KPIs for your repair shop: First-Time Fix, Repair Turn Around Time, and Cross Channel Looper Repair. This will not be used for basis of award.

2.) Answer the following questions

1
A request for the Apple Service Excellence Score of 160/15 or better is requested. When reviewing - it is not clear what is being requested. What is each number referring to in this question? There are several data points available in the Apple Services Portal and want to make sure the correct information is provided for this request.
We are striking this Requirement 6.14 since this Apple Scoring methodology no longer exists.
2
What information is being requested? Serial numbers determine the covered service window and would be specific to the number provided. Is the question asking how long the pricing provided would be good?

The UW Sourcing Module system requires a date, please put any date to move through the process. This date will not be evaluated or be considered for basis of award. We are not referring to any individual potential service request.

3
In the 2nd and 3rd Apple Lot and the 2nd Dell lot there are multiple logic boards available based on memory and hard disk size. This results in different costs based on those specifications. Is there a specific configuration that we should price?
For each, quote the logic board with 16 GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD you would provide.
