About this file
This is Amendment #1 to a Request for Bids (RFB) issued by the University of Wisconsin-Madison for waste dumpsters (Solicitation #2024-UWMSN-00357-RFB). The amendment consists of questions and answers clarifying bidding requirements and delivery specifications. The primary end-users of this contract are UW Housing, with delivery addresses at Eagle Heights, and Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) Waste and Recycle, with delivery addresses on the UW-Madison main campus. Delivery locations may also include outlying areas such as agricultural research stations. While the amendment does not specify item quantities, response deadlines, or contract award dates, it establishes that bidders must submit responses through the online ShopUW+ portal at https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent?CustomerOrg=UWisconsin, with inquiries directed to Brad Bauman at brad.bauman@wisc.edu.
All bids must be submitted on an F.O.B. Destination basis, with the contractor bearing all delivery charges and risk of loss. Bid prices must include packing, freight, insurance charges, and installation or operation manuals, excluding import/export costs. The contractor or common carrier is responsible for unloading containers and transporting cartons to designated interior, ground floor, or dock spaces at delivery locations. Bidders offering alternative F.O.B. terms must identify the F.O.B. point and shipping charges separately; these additional costs will be added to the total bid price for evaluation purposes. Failure to comply with F.O.B. Destination requirements may result in bid disqualification. Bidders may be required to indicate the country of origin and shipping point for proposed dumpsters.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO
RFB #2024-UWMSN-00357-RFB
Q1: What is the address in which containers should be delivered.
A1: Per section 4.2 F.O.B. Destination: All deliveries shall be FOB Destination. Delivery charges and risk of loss shall be borne by the Contractor.
Delivery will be made by common carrier or Contractor’s truck, with unloading to be performed by the carrier/contractor and carton(s) transported to a designated interior/ground floor space or inside dock at various locations. Bid prices must include all packing, freight, insurance charges and installation/operation manuals, excluding any import/export costs.
If bidding other than F.O.B. Destination, as stated, F.O.B. point and shipping charges must be identified with bidder’s submitted pricing. This additional cost will be added to the bid total and will serve as the basis for determining the award. You may be asked to Indicate the Country of Origin and Shipping Point.
Failure to bid FOB DESTINATION delivery charges and risk of loss borne by the Contractor in bid price or discount may disqualify your bid.
Delivery locations could be any UW Madison main campus location, or potentially outlying areas such as Ag Research stations. The main user of this contract are UW Housing with delivery addresses in Eagle Heights, and FP&M Waste and Recycle with delivery addresses on UW Madison main campus grounds.
