About this file

This document is a product specification sheet for the AMC A20 Sound Transmission Class (STC) Testing Kit, a portable system designed for acoustical compliance testing of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).

The kit is engineered to meet ICD 705 standards for STC ratings, supporting Sound Group 3 (STC 45 or better) and Sound Group 4 (STC 50 or better) classifications. The system is a complete, turnkey solution intended for single-operator field deployments, temporary duty assignments, and Program Compliance Reviews/Inspections, with all components packaged in ruggedized travel cases weighing less than 50 pounds each. Key included components are an integrated speaker and noise generator, sound level meter with periodic NIST calibration capability, precision calibrator (94/144 dB), tripods, PointSource Field STC Software (with no subscription fee), laptop with power supply, high-grade hearing protection, and extension cord. The software provides guided testing using precise distance measurements and SPL amplitude readings, automatically calculates both STC and Noise Transmission Class (NIC) values, generates formatted compliance charts and graphs for accreditors, and includes integrated report-building capabilities. The system enables evaluation of doors, walls, or rooms within minutes and supports remote measurement capability. All test results are instrumented to support SCIF accreditation requirements.
