About this file

This document is a Technical Specification Requirements for a high throughput, 24-way, scale-down model bioreactor system. The National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC), Vaccine Production Program (VPP) has a requirement to procure two (2) such bioreactor systems suitable for both perfusion and standard fed-batch cell culture processes.

The systems must be capable of handling high-throughput operations, provide individual bioreactor control for Design of Experiments (DOE) optimization, and enable precise, automated operations. They must be compatible with various single-use consumables like perfusion bioreactor vessels, perfusion towers, and flow control and collection system. Key requirements include compact design, automated control and sampling, SCADA integration, support for high density cell culture, and ability to maintain sterility during a 30-day culture process. The anticipated period of performance is September 27, 2024 with a 65-day delivery requirement upon award. Interested vendors are requested to submit capability statements by August 5, 2024.
