STATEMENT OF WORK

Eagle Creek National Fish Hatchery Aluminum Dam Boards

1. GENERAL:

Eagle Creek National Fish Hatchery (Hatchery) needs to install Aluminum dam boards into the head and tail sections of several raceways. The Hatchery currently uses wooden boards that cannot be disinfected between groups of fish thereby creating a risk to fish from prior pathogens. Wooden boards deteriorate and need to be replaced periodically and must be individually cut by hatchery staff. The metal boards will have increased longevity as opposed to wooden boards and are preferable in the hatchery environment for disease prevention purposes as well as longevity and reduction of risk of breakage.

2. DEFINITIONS:

RACEWAYS: 80ft x 8 ft x 2 ft. concrete tanks designed for rearing fish.

KEYWAYS: 2” Channels built into the side walls of raceways (head and tail) designed to accept boards creating a dam effect allowing raceways to fill with water

3. SCOPE:

The Hatchery needs 3 types of aluminum boards made from 3/16” 5052 aluminum sheets. Each board is bent at 90º on the top and bottom to achieve a 1 ½” lip on the top and bottom leaving a 5" face (See Attachment). The second type is a 5" board with (5) 2" holes. The holes need to be evenly spaced with 11" border on each end of board. The third type of board has a 10” face.

a) The 90º angles must be precise to achieve a sealing effect between boards.

b) All boards will be 49 inches wide.

c) Edges must be clean and clear of shards or burrs

Board Type and Quantity:

1) 5" x 49"104 boards
2) 5" x 49" w/ (5) 2" holes26 boards
3) 10" x 49"78 boards
