About this file
This document contains a justification for a sole source contract award and the related federal contract opportunity notice. The justification document provides details of a requirement by the 374th Contracting Squadron at Yokota Air Base in Japan for the rental, maintenance, and repair of prefabricated facilities from the incumbent contractor Aktio Corporation. According to the market research summarized, Aktio could provide the required facilities within 180 days compared to 180 to 120 days for two other contacted vendors. The contract being justified is a renewal of an existing sole source contract with Aktio in order to prevent a six-month lapse in facilities. The federal contract opportunity notice further specifies this as a fixed-price contract to be awarded on September 30, 2023 to Aktio for an unknown amount to fulfill the same requirement under solicitation FA520923P0137.
