About this file

This document contains a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regarding the procurement of a Social Service IT Connector platform. The RFI is seeking information from vendors on available solutions and services that could be used to establish a statewide platform to facilitate social service referrals, data sharing, and coordination between healthcare providers, government agencies, and community-based organizations. The RFI does not specify a timeline or budget for the eventual procurement, but indicates the Agency will use the feedback received to develop its requirements and implementation approach. The RFI covers various technical and functional capabilities, including integration with electronic health records, encounter notification services, and existing community resource platforms. The Agency is interested in understanding how the platform could serve as a central access point for authorized users such as providers, government entities, and patients.

The RFI does not indicate the availability of any incumbent contract or provide details on the anticipated procurement budget. However, it notes the Agency will pursue federal funding sources if a determination is made to proceed with a procurement. The RFI responses are intended to assist the Agency in further defining the scope and requirements for the Social Service IT Connector platform to meet the needs of Florida's Medicaid population and broader health and social service ecosystem.
