Sale Invitation Number = 2019U0023, Sale Status = Open, Cotton Type = Upland, Total Bale Count = 2, Total Bale Weight
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Fair Trade Practices Program (FTPP), Warehouse Commodity Management Division (WCMD), Commodity Management Branch (CMB) invites offers to purchase Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) owned cotton in-store in accordance with the terms and conditions of this invitation.
CCC-owned cotton will be sold and released in-store at the warehouse location listed in the catalog using the factors shown on the warehouse receipt(s). Warehouse operators are obligated to deliver the specific bales in the identified lot. CCC will not pay the loadout charges. Prior to submitting a bid, offerors (buyer) are advised to check with the storing warehouse operator regarding scheduling and any applicable charges. The offeror will be responsible for any of these applicable charges.
Offerors will be required to enter a per lot bid, U.S. Dollars per pound, with no more than four decimal places. Regardless of size, lots must be bid on in their entirety. Each bid will be analyzed independently, and no offer can be contingent upon the acceptance of other offers. If there are identical offers, the lot will be awarded on a random basis to one offeror. CCC reserves the right to reject any or all offers. The date of award is the date the offeror is notified by CCC that their bid is successful.
Buyers of cotton must remit to CCC the payment equal to 100% of buyers invoice within five business days after the date of award. If payment is not received within five business days of the award date, interest will accrue for the account of the buyer on the sixth business day and continue up to the date payment is received by CCC. It is not acceptable for a buyer to withhold payment in favor of continuing to pay interest to CCC.
TRANSFER OF TITLE
CCC will electronically transfer title of the cotton (in-store) once payment is received and verified.
CCC stops paying storage the day the cotton bales are released to the buyer, which is when title is transferred.
Storage starts for the buyers account the day after the title of the cotton bales are transferred.
If payment is received by check, the check must clear the bank before warehouse receipt(s) will be electronically transferred.
