a) Vertical Management Cage with Latches, model number OR-MM6VML706, quantity: 2 each

b) Ceiling Extension Kit model number OR-MM6CEK10, quantity: 1 each

c) Power strip, model number OR-60400681: 2 each

d) Equipment Shelf model number OR-60400538, quantity: 2 each

e) Four-point equipment shelf model number OR-604045681, quantity: 2 each

f) Panduit horizontal cable manager NCMHF1, quantity: 5 each.

C. The phone and data patch panels shall be Category 6A, 8-wire - 8 position, T568B wiring, and shall have a port count sufficient to terminate all phone and data jacks (separately). In calculating the size of the patch panels, add 25% spare capacity. Two “sets” of patch panels for each utility (phone and data) shall be provided (minimum 4 each).

D. Furnish and install the following:

a) Emergency lighting.

b) Grounding cable the length of the plywood, #6, copper, with termination blocks in the middle of the wall and at each end (total of 3). Cable and termination block shall be mounted near the bottom portion of the plywood.

c) Cable tray, ladder type, installed above the racks, but below SAT ceiling, 16 inches wide by the length & with of the room (as shown on DID plans).

E. Substitution of any equipment shall not be permitted.

3. Communication Backbone:

A. Less than 100 Meters (328 feet): If the physical path from DMARC to point of service in the new constructed space is less than 100 Meters (328 Feet), terminate 21 pairs of the 25P Cat5e tie cable with 110 block and terminate the 4 pair necessary to provide a standard Cat 5e RJ45 termination surface mount box at both ends. Label all UST at both ends. This is the simplest configuration that satisfies all data and voice circuit extension needs. AT&T will coordinate completion of extension of the data circuit and one dial tone for their out of band management use.

B. Greater than 100 Meters (328 Feet): If the physical path from DMARC to point of service in the new constructed space is more than 100 Meters (328 Feet), install 1.5 inch innerduct with pull string to accommodate fiber extension of the circuit. A Cat5e tie cable terminated 110 block at both ends will satisfy voice dial tone extensions. Label all UST at both ends. The LEC or AT&T will physically extend the fiber circuit. AT&T will coordinate completion of extension of the data circuit and one dial tone for their out of band management use.

C. Furnish and install 1.5” diameter innerduct with 500 pull force pull string from the building D-mark to the communication rack. Innerduct color shall be blue. Leave a minimum of 10 feet slack on either end. Properly tag both ends of the innerduct.

4. Telephone Cabling:

A. Cabling and jacks shall be color white.

B. Label both ends of the new cables and terminations, identifying the room and jack number.

Identification labels or tags must be legible, neat and durable. Provide a cabling plan/ diagram to show jack designations by office, and by patch panel port number.
