Text version
Due to the high volume of calls and questions, please send all questions to the Contracting Officer, Matthew Gagnon by email (matthewgagnon@fs.fed.us) prior to April 8, 2010, close of business. A consolidated response will be provided on the solicitation website on or about April 15, in the form of an amendment. No individual response(s) will be sent. If questions arise after April 8, 2010, effort will be made to answer in a timely manner to all vendors, but time constraints may not permit.
Clarification of some common questions to date:
1. 30 page limit means -30 sheets of 8.5x11 paper, front and back. Anything past 30 pages will not be used for the evaluation.
2. You should specifically address the areas mentioned in the Request for Qualifications, as the evaluations will be based on those criteria. Qualification statements are required for the prime and their subcontractors or "Team". Once the team is proposed and the Government accepts (issues a contract), the government at it discretion will approve or disapprove any changes. Not every type of work needs to be addressed, however, your qualifications should show past performance in and potential to manage projects of varying types and levels of complexity.
3. Task Orders could vary in range from a relatively small dollar amount up to and above $100,000.00. Projects can be anything from new building design to construction surveying & staking, specification & document development, on-going construction inspection & quality management. Basically the A&E contracts will provide additional resources to the Northern and Central CA Forest Service Engineering Departments to accomplish a variety of tasks from simple and routine to one-time design projects. The broad scope is purposeful due to the varying needs of the Forest Service.
