Honeymoon Campground Reconstruction Project

Pre-bid walk-through

May 4, 2010 10:30am

The following information was discussed on site:

· Contractor will have to obtain a water permit from Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board, and a road encroachment permit from Mono County.

· Contractor will have to obtain borrow material from a commercial source. A nearby location for aggregate is Hunewill Construction Co located in Wellington, NV. A nearby location for asphalt is Granite Construction in Lee Vining, CA.

· Contractor will have to use a locator service to determine exact location of underground phone utility lines on the east side of Twin Lakes Road near the bridge.

· The construction crew cannot camp on site. There are other campgrounds within close proximity.

· The site will be vacated of campers during construction.

· The contractor may use toilet facilities on site. Contractor may also use the water utility within the campground, but because water system replacement is part of this contract, contractor will have to coordinate schedule with any construction needs.

· If the option for new fire rings is awarded, existing fire rings will be removed from the site before the contractor begins construction. If the option is not awarded, fire rings will be re-used within the campground.
