9. Panelboards used for service entrance equipment shall be approved and labeled for that purpose.

10. Connect the phase wires of three (and/or four) wire home runs to breakers connected to separate phase busses of the panelboard and maintain approximately equal loads on each bus. All circuits shall be numbered in sequence vertically and all circuits shall appear in the panel exactly as they are shown on the drawings. All branch circuit neutral connections shall be identified by adhesive number tags to identify with their branch circuit phase conductors where neutral connections connect to the panel neutral bus. -16-

11. Type of panelboard shall be determined by location and application.

(b) Circuit Breakers

1. Circuit breakers shall be quick-make quick-break on manual or automatic operation, with minimum interrupting capacity of 10,000 amps RMS symmetrical for 120/240 volts.

2. Breakers shall be trip-free. Each breaker shall have trip indication of the “ON” or “OFF” positions.

3. All breakers shall be US listed and meet NEMA and UL Standards.

4. All breakers shall be calibrated for operation in an ambient temperature of 40 degrees

C.

5. All two- (2) pole breakers shall be common trip.

P. WIRING DEVICES

(a) Wall Switches

1. Flush A.C. type tumbler type ganged together under one plate in gangable boxes where two or more switches occur at one point. Switches shall be rated at 20 amperes, 120- 277 VAC, side and back wired, preferred specification grade and accept up to size 10 AWG wire.
