ADDENDUM 1 - Stain of Historic Log Building 05/21/09

This addendum does not affect the response date of the solicitation.

Clarifications:

1) Background info – The building was last stained in 1999. At that time it was corn blasted to remove all previous coatings. The stain and caulking products used at that time are the same as those to be provided by the Government under this contract.

2) Contractor shall remove any and all debris, rubbish, and materials, including any unusable stain and caulking materials, from the site and complete proper disposal.

No use of Government dumpsters or other disposal facilities is allowed.

3) In order to closely match the historic screen material, the replacement metal screening for windows shall be 16 openings per inch, 0.018” wire diameter, plain steel

4) In addition to the required proposal items addressing the as-specified work, offerors are encouraged to include a list of any assumptions which affect the bid price and any suggested changes from the specification with associated cost savings to the Government.
